Featuring the unique scenery of the Colorado Plateau, Colorado National Monument is awash with stunning scenery and vistas unlike any other. Monument Canyon is the biggest attraction in the 32 square mile park, and for a quick day trip the best way to see the sights is the 23-mile drive along Rim Rock Drive, which features many overlooks and scenic stops for visitors. Hiking trails run throughout the park, and biking is popular among the ultra-fit. Stays in the park's campground are possible, and the park is also not far from the towns of Fruita and Grand Junction if a hotel is a better overnight option.
